What's January Options Day All About?

University of Wollongong January Options Day is designed specifically for students who completed their HSC in 2008 to discover the various options and pathways available to them. On January Options Day, UOW Faculty representatives will be available for you to discuss your course options. You should bring your HSC and UAI results along with you so that we can be as helpful as possible. Please also bring your University of Wollongong 2009 Undergraduate Course Guide.

Date and Time

Wednesday, 7th of January. The event will run between 9am and 4pm.

Faculty/Campus Tours

Faculty tours will be available on January Options Day. Tours will run at 9am, 10.30am, 12 midday, and 1.30pm with the last tour commencing at 3pm. You will enjoy a leisurely stroll around the campus with current UOW students, and see the facilities specific to your faculty of interest.

Bookings are not required, there will be signs on the day directing you where to go.

Living @ UOW

Thinking of living @ UOW while you study?  Come and the visit the Accommodation Services stand in the UniHall where you will be able to talk to staff and find out more about your living options.  You will be able to apply online for accommodation at the stand.  Even if you’ve already applied for accommodation come and meet our staff or take a tour of the residences.

Accommodation Tours

Accommodation tours will run from 11am - 2pm. There will be a complimentary bus that will leave every 30-40 mins from the UniHall and do a loop of: International House, Weerona College, Keiraview and Campus East. Students and parents can get off at the residence of their choice for a residence tour and then wait for the bus on the return loop. They can then choose to visit another residence or go back to the Uni Hall.

When do I have to change my UAC preferences?

If you are considering changing your preferences with UAC, you have until midnight on Wednesday 7 January 2009 if using the UAC Info Line or the UAC Website.

The University of Wollongong will have computers available on
January Options Day at the library or log on to the UAC website and change your preferences. Remember to bring your UAC PIN number with you.
